Destination Learning is an AP Summer Institute created by experienced business teachers and College Board–endorsed consultants. We pair high-quality, project-based professional learning with something teachers rarely get in the summer: real rest and relaxation in a fun setting.
Our story
Started by teachers who’ve been in your seat
Destination Learning was established by experienced business teachers and College Board–endorsed consultants. We know summer training often means long days in a conference room and little time to recharge before a new school year.
So we built something different: an endorsed AP Summer Institute with rigorous, project-based learning, held somewhere that lets teachers rest, reconnect, and head back to school energized.

Every session is built on project-based learning. You’ll work through the kinds of projects your students will tackle, including the Business Canvas Project, instead of just hearing about them.

Our inaugural voyage
Setting sail in July 2027
Our first Destination Learning APSI takes place at sea: AP Business with Personal Finance training aboard the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, with stops in Key West and Progreso.
Only 200 spots. Teachers who complete the Interest Survey get the first chance to book when registration opens in November 2026.

Funding your APSI
The AP Participant Grant covers registration the first time you complete the AP Business with Personal Finance APSI, even if you’ve attended APSIs in other subjects. Many schools also help cover training and travel.
