Funding Your APSI

Registration covers the training only; the cruise is booked separately. Most teachers fund their APSI in one of two ways.

APSI Registration: $1,075

Two ways to pay

Choose the option that fits you

Option 1: AP Participant Grant

The grant covers registration the first time you complete the AP Business with Personal Finance APSI. APSIs in other subjects don’t count, so you get a fresh start and still qualify.

  • Apply for the grant in the first week of March 2027.
  • If approved, you’ll receive a registration code, usually by mid-March.
  • Book the cruise separately.

Option 2: School Funding

Ask your administration (usually your principal and AP coordinator) for funding. Some schools cover both APSI registration and travel, including the cruise.

  • Using the grant this year? Ask your school to pay for a refresher APSI next year.
  • Schools with several participants may qualify for a tiered discount,

Schools set AP funding now. Ask your administrator and submit a travel request for training ($1,075) plus your travel expenses (cruise plus flight, hotel, parking, and whatever other travel expenses that you may incur).

January 2027

Book your cruise early. We may sell out!

Early March 2027

Apply for the AP Participant Grant.

Mid-March 2027

Grant approved? Watch for your registration code and register as soon as possible.

April 1, 2027

Last day for the discounted cruise rate, if any cabins remain. If you really want to go, don’t wait!
